As part of this pilot program, the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) is placing PV systems on 5 schools such as the Common Ground High School (CGHS) shown here. CCEF is providing high speed PV Live™ data feeds to an additional 50 schools which will use SunViewer™ software to view data updating once per second. Lessons and training are being developed which will utilize this data network in Connecticut’s 9th grade curriculum framework.
CGHS is a program of the New Haven Ecology Project - the first Public Charter School with a focus on the urban environment. CGHS is located on the New Haven Ecology Project’s 20-acre farm at the base of West Rock Ridge in New Haven, CT. Through hands-on inquiry, research and investigation, students develop academic accomplishment, ecological literacy, commitment to community, and strong character.
